We have a number of exciting opportunities for PhD students in the area of machine learning for medical imaging. Research topics include robust image segmentation, image reconstruction, deep representation learning, generative modelling, shape analysis, trustworthy AI, and many more. Our research focuses both on developing novel methodology and the translation of advanced image analysis algorithms to clinical applications such as image-based diagnosis and detection of disease.
Prospective students will have good first degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or another engineering-related discipline. Experience in one or more of the following area is also desired: mathematical modeling, machine learning, computer vision, software engineering, and high performance computing (GPU programming).
